Server Details

The server is being worked on and we think it will provide an experience unlike any other. But, we need some input from the community to make it what you guys want. If this gets a nice response, I'll put up polls to see what you want to see. Until then, comment any suggestions you have and we'll see where this goes.

I just want a cool rpg server going again. The few villages that there were really made the server what it was. Also the roleplay-seriousbusiness about bloodpool was fun for me at least. Good vs evil or whatever.

Gathering materials to sell for cash was fun too for some reason. Getting cash flow to buy land was also awesome.

Make small milestones. Get levels > Get materials > Get monies > Get plots > Kill bosses > Do quests, etc.

I agree with Loathsome, the RPG aspect was very fun, as were the towns. The inclusion of quest NPCs could help with that.

RPG was definitely my favorite part about WoB. Next to that, the towns and concept of Bloodpool were great. Maybe there should be more interaction between the different towns.

I seem to enjoy the various mods like tinkers and stuff, they really make mine craft a whole new game and more stuff to do is always a plus in my book.

The roleplay was what made it for me, I think you could include events every so often to create large scale battles against enemy towns.
The RPG aspect was awesome, but heroes tends to be buggy, as does citizens, but if you have a good Dev, you could get some really cool abilities for players

I spoke with Beldrama today and he mentioned that you're focusing a lot on the story right now. I kind of have to disagree with the idea of focusing mainly on the story in the beginning. Focus on the mechanics first, I think you'll have an easier time publishing the server if you get it playable first.

I agree with everyone here, really. The idea of towns interacting more with eachother sounds really interesting. And, as with everything people make, developing a story first is a terrible idea. If you make the story, who knows if it will fit the art you end up using? The mechanics? What if elements have to be changed, will the story stand without them? It's a better idea to get everything working the way you want it, and then to get the story going.

Yeah. So that the server is playable as soon as possible. Things like story can be implemented later.

Honestly, the ability plugins are the hardest part. If you CAN find someone that can do it custom instead of something like heroes, go for it. A few, cool, specialized moves for each class beats a ton of repetitive, eh moves. It should take priority for a server like this.
